On May 21, Silicon Valley leaders joined friends of Greenbelt Alliance at the historic Green Gables Estate in Woodside for Solving for the Silicon Valley Growth Bomb, a discussion about how leading companies in Silicon Valley can continue attracting world-class talent so that the region can remain an economic leader and innovator.
Leaders from FICO, FireEye, McAfee/Intel, Adobe, eBay, Audience, Stanford University, and Juniper Networks enjoyed a locally sourced dinner and a talk by renowned urban designer and author, Jeff Speck. Read our interview with Jeff Speck here.
Guests also learned about the work that Greenbelt Alliance is doing to champion the places that make Silicon Valley special such as our success in guiding the direction of San Jose’s Envision San Jose 2040 General Plan. Under Envision 2040, San Jose will be the Bay Area’s leader in providing new homes for the region’s workforce and creating thriving neighborhoods that combine homes, shops, parks, and job. The plan calls for locating 120,000 new homes within the city’s existing boundaries, mostly along major transportation corridors. Learn more about Greenbelt Alliance’s in San Jose here.
