Joe Bonk came to Greenbelt Alliance as an active blogger (shapingcities.com), eager to put his masters in city planning from Cornell to work in the Bay Area.
As a policy intern, he helped bring together valuable research for the At Risk 2012 research project for Solano and San Mateo’s open space protection measures. Yet his enthusiasm didn’t stop there; Joe reached out to other efforts with Greenbelt Alliance including website updates and providing the field representatives with presentations on the latest planning research.
With his sights toward adventure, Joe is headed to Albania as a Peace Corps volunteer to continue spreading his good will and eagerness to help create a better world. We wish him luck and look forward to stories from his new life in Albania!
