Greenbelt Alliance is pleased that Redwood City approved the 1409 El Camino project by Greystar Real Estate Partners. With this exciting project, Downtown Redwood City is about to get even better!
As a culmination of Redwood City’s revitalization, 1409 El Camino will bring 350 new homes to Redwood City’s award-winning downtown. Going above and beyond, the project includes 10% affordable homes and also makes significant financial contributions to the city’s new Affordable Housing Fund.
1409 El Camino is another great contribution to Redwood City’s thriving, walkable downtown area. The project is located within a ½ mile walk to the CalTrain Redwood City Station and the Samtrans James Street hub. The project will also feature walkable, street front retail that extends the excitement and vibrancy of downtown along El Camino Real.
As a great example of smart infill development, this project supports the local economy, relieves development pressure on the region’s open spaces, and offers a host of other environmental and quality of life benefits.
