Our July volunteers of the month are Edgar and Barbara Lo. Edgar and Barbara recently led a wonderful Greenbelt Alliance outing to the Montalvo Center for the Arts in Saratoga.
In addition to providing a great tour of the Montalvo grounds, Edgar and Barbara led Greenbelt hikers through a redwood forest to a scenic ridge overlooking the South Bay. There, outing participants enjoyed a view of “At Risk” lands and South Bay areas that are the focus of Greenbelt Alliance campaigns.
Edgar, a retired aerospace quality manager, and Barbara, a retired school teacher, are Greenbelt Alliance members and have many interests. Edgar an accomplished beekeeper, volunteers at the Montalvo Center and the Flint Center. Barbara also volunteers at Montalvo and the Flint Center as well as for San Jose Parks.
The outing to Montalvo required a lot of dedication and efforts by the Lo’s and was greatly appreciated by all who participated. Thanks Edgar and Barbara for a great outing and all you do for Greenbelt Alliance.
