Derek Anderson has mapped it all.
With a master’s degree in geographic information systems, Derek has supported the Policy Department by performing indepth research and filling in to complete a variety of demands for the At Risk 2012 report. He analyzed open space protection measures, evaluated soil permeability for groundwater resources, researched state legislation, studied planning scenarios for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and provided expert analysis of walkability and bikeability around new rail station areas.
Derek is the kind of expert volunteer who helps Greenbelt Alliance reach beyond our own capacity to achieve even more. We wish him the best at his new exploits at Apple. Thank you, Derek, for all your great work!
