Greenbelt Alliance is proud to announce that Executive Director Jeremy Madsen has been selected as a recipient of the prestigious 2014 Gerbode Professional Development Fellowship. For more than 20 years the $10,000 fellowship has been awarded annually to five leaders in the Bay Area’s nonprofit community “whose outstanding achievements are highly regarded by their peers” and as recognition for their exceptional work.

Funded by the San Francisco-based Wallace Alexander Gerbode Foundation, the award supports professional development for leaders of a range of progressive social, environmental, cultural, and arts organizations. Past recipients of the award include inspirational leaders such as Van Jones, Rinku Sen, Barbara Brenner, Kim Klein and Oscar-winning filmmaker Debra Chasnoff.

Congratulations Jeremy!
