Greenbelt Alliance In the NewsFebruary 12, 2007 Attack signs on Seeno's land untrue Letter to the EditorI have three problems with the signs on Highway 4 attacking the Sierra Club, Greenbelt Alliance and Save Mount Diablo. 1. They are unsafe. The signs on old Sommersville Road in Antioch pose a hazard because this road is very narrow and bumpy. Drivers go too fast there, and any distraction could cause a horrible accident. A teen died there not long ago. 2. The signs (and Web site) are anonymous. I have visited the site posted on this sign. I did not participate in the survey because the Web site had no author and no contact info. To me, that has a bad smell all over it. The survey was one-sided! Who are the real radicals, and who are the cowards? 3. The signs are untrue. Highway 4 widening has been approved and funded, and construction has been moving ahead. So what's the problem? I find it interesting that these signs are posted on property that belongs to Al Seeno, the developer. Is someone getting their tail feathers all in a bunch because not everyone is excited about adding more houses to our beautiful hillsides and more cars to Highway 4? Come clean with the real issues!
