Message from the Editor
Hello Greenbelt Alliance friends. We wish you peace during these troubled times. This month, make a difference in the Bay Area by signing up to ride Go Greenbelt! 2003. If you can't dedicate a week to our annual bike tour, then we encourage you to spend a day enjoying the beautiful areas of the Bay Area with our online hiking guide.

Online Hiking Guide Released
Greenbelt Alliance announces the debut of Greenbelt Wonders and Neighborhood Wanders, a guide to some of the Bay Area's most treasured open spaces and communities.

A Look Inside Go Greenbelt!
Go Greenbelt! 2003 marks the fourteenth anniversary of Greenbelt Alliance's annual bike tour of the Bay Area. Take a look inside the ride as we browse the journals of a past Go Greenbelt! rider.

Greenbelt Alliance Origins: Building the Movement for a Better Bay Area
2003 marks the forty-fifth anniversary of Greenbelt Alliance's work to protect open space and promote livable communities. In its early years, Citizens for Regional Recreation and Parks, the forerunner of Greenbelt Alliance, focused much of its attention on educating Bay Area residents about the need to protect parks and recreational areas.

Office News: New Administration Director
Greenbelt Alliance has a new Administration Director. Though she's only lived in the Bay Area for 3 years, she first began working on parks issues several years ago in New York City.
