Reigning in sprawl in Contra Costa: Measure C |
Greenbelt Alliance * The Newswire
Volume 2, January 2003
The Contra Costa Transportation Authority has announced that it is creating a plan for how to spend $1.6 billion in transportation sales tax money (Measure C).
Deciding what to include in the sales tax offers Contra Costa County an unprecedented opportunity to choose investments and policies that will rein in sprawl, expand our transportation choices, and build a safer and more livable county. It also provides us the opportunity to potentially lock in the urban limit line.
Come join Greenbelt Alliance and TALC, along with other environmentalists, labor unions, social justice groups, and concerned citizens for Measure C Strategy Sessions.
