Point Bonita Sunset Walk |

Notes: Experience the wild edge of the continent on this special tour of the historic Point Bonita Lighthouse in the Marin Headlands. The scenic trail to the lighthouse passes through a hand carved tunnel and over a spectacular suspension bridge to one of the hidden gems of the Bay Area.
Rain Policy: Rain cancels.
What to bring: Good walking shoes, warm clothing, camera, if desired.
How to get there:
We will meet at 5 pm at the Point Bonita Lighthouse trailhead.
From San Francisco and San Mateo County:
Take Hwy 101 northbound across the Golden Gate Bridge. Exit Alexander Avenue;
bear right. Follow Alexander Avenue 0.2-miles; turn left onto Bunker Road.
On Bunker Road, pass through one way Baker-Barry Tunnel. Follow Bunker
Road 3-miles;
turn left on Field Road. Follow Field Road 0.8-miles to Point Bonita parking
lot and trailhead.
From the North Bay, East Bay, and South Bay:
Cross the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge. Take Hwy 101 southbound. Exit at second
Sausalito exit, just before the Golden Gate Bridge. Bear right onto Alexander
Avenue; proceed back under the freeway. Follow Alexander Avenue 0.2-miles;
turn left onto Bunker Road. On Bunker Road, pass through one way Baker-Barry
Tunnel.
Follow Bunker Road 3-miles; turn left on Field Road. Follow Field Road 0.8-miles
to Point Bonita parking lot and trailhead.
