Q: When is Bluegrass for the Greenbelt this year?
Sunday, June 28th, 2009, 11:00AM-6:00PM. The Meadows open at 10:30AM.

Q: Where is the concert? 
This is the second year the concert takes place at the beautiful outdoor park, Dunsmuir-Hellman Historic Estate, 2960 Peralta Oaks Court in Oakland.

Q: How do I get there?
We strongly encourage all concert-goers to take public or human-powered transportation.

BART: Greenbelt Alliance will provide complimentary shuttles to the concert from the San Leandro BART station.  Click here for information about the San Leandro BART station.

AC Transit: Bus #45/Foothill Square drops off near Dunsmuir. Walk or bike up 106th Ave. and turn right onto Peralta Oaks Drive, following the signs to Dunsmuir. Click here for information about AC Transit Line 45.

Bike: There will be bicycle parking available on the Dunsmuir grounds. Please bring your own lock! Click here for bicycle directions from the San Leandro BART station.

(If you must) Drive...: $10 parking fee per vehicle.  Please carpool! Click here to plan driving directions to Dunsmuir.

Q: How do I buy tickets?
Tickets are on sale through www.slimstickets.com.

Q: Will tickets be available the day of the show?
Yes, tickets will be on sale at the entrance to the meadows.

Q: How much are the tickets?
Tickets are $40. Children 12 and under are free.

Q: Who is playing?
This year’s concert has a main stage featuring The Wrongler’s, Laurie Lewis & The Right Hands, The Peter Rowan Bluegrass Band, and The Waybacks. There will also be a second stage with Nell Robinson & Red Level, Eric and Suzy Thompson, and 49 Special.

Q: What are we allowed to bring?
Coolers, blankets, and short-back chairs are allowed. Picnicking is encouraged (no glass bottles/containers!). We recommend that you bring sunscreen and a hat for shade, as well as a reusable water bottle for re-filling.

Please respect the park and pick up and take away everything you bring in.

Q: Will there be food & beverages for sale?
Yes! Specific vendors TBA.

Q: What is not allowed?
Glass containers of any kind are prohibited (glass bottles, glass food jars, etc). Please do not bring lawn chairs, umbrellas and any item that would obstruct the view of other guests. No illegal substances, fireworks, or weapons of any kind.

Q: Are cameras allowed?
Photography for personal use is permitted. Commercial photography is prohibited. No flash, please.

Q: Are video-cameras allowed?
Sound & video recording of any kind is prohibited.

Q: Will you have special activities for kids?
Yes! More to be announced soon.

Q: Are dogs allowed?
Per park rules, only service animals are permitted on the Dunsmuir grounds.  Please do not bring pets of any kind to the event, regardless of size. 

Q: Do you recycle? Compost?
Receptacles for recycling, compost & trash will be available. Please help us divert as much trash as possible into recycling/composting.

Q: Restroom facilities?
There will be portable restrooms available on site.

Q: Disabled accessibility?
Yes, a special section will be reserved for guests with mobility issues.
