Join Greenbelt Alliance on a wildflower hike along the beautiful Owl Trail. We’ll view lupine, paintbrush, checkerbloom and poppies galore. At Slide Ranch, Yoga instructor Anita Lalwani will lead us in basic Yoga exercises before we return to the trailhead.

East Bay - Greenbelt Outing
This outing is designed to bring grown-ups and their children together in exploring the magic of springtime changes. We'll hike to a seasonal pond and look for tadpoles and see what other bugs, birds, and plants we can find. We'll also play a few games that open young eyes to the wonders of our outside world. The activities will target young people ages 4 to 9 and their accompanying grown-ups; all participants should come prepared to take part! All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Experience the wild edge of the continent on this special tour of the historic Point Bonita Lighthouse in the Marin Headlands. The scenic trail to the lighthouse passes through a hand carved tunnel and over a spectacular suspension bridge to one of the hidden gems of the Bay Area. This is a Bay Area wildflower hotspot!

South Bay - Greenbelt Outing
Explore less traveled territory through first and second growth redwoods. Moderate pace (14 miles, 2,000 feet of elevation gain, with shorter option). Meet: 10 am at the parking area for Sam McDonald Park, off Pescadero Road in La Honda. Directions: from Highways 280 or 101, take Highway 84 (Woodside Road) west to Pescadero Road in La Honda (about 14 miles west of Hwy 280). Go six miles to the park entrance on Pescadero Road. Carpooling: meet leader at Rockridge BART by base of steps on east side of College Avenue, 8:30 am. Cost: $ for parking fee at Sam McDonald Park.
